Sony, the Japanese consumer electronics major, has rolled out its 2018 series of home theatre systems in the country. These devices are dubbed as the 5.1ch Soundbar S series. The series comprise of 2 devices namely HT-S500RF and HT-S700RF for a price tag of Rs 29,990 and Rs 37,990. The devices will be obtainable in all major electronic stores & Sony Center all over India and on e-commerce sites such as Flipkart & Amazon.
Both the new home theatre systems state to be integrated with “India sound setting.” This feature is claimed to offer clear vocal sound with more powerful bass sound that is developed for Indian user.
Both the HT-S500RF and HT-S700RF feature a rhombus-style metal grill on all rear and front speakers. The devices have 1000W of power output and feature 5.1 channel surround systems. Both systems sport special tweeters that are claimed to create high sound frequency.
Connectivity choices for both the devices comprise Bluetooth (v4.2), NFC, one HDMI port, one USB port, one Analogue Audio Input, and one optical-in along with Sony’s Music Center App support. Using the app, consumers can play the music on their handsets—both iPhone and Android.
But there is difference in both the devices. The subwoofer size in the HT-S700RF is 20 cm, while is 18 cm for the HT-S500RF home theatre system. Also, the former has rear Tall Boy speakers, and the latter comes with a shelf rear speakers.
Speaking of Sony, the tech behemoth lately declared its quarterly results and it was the gaming section that grabbed in the fortune for the firm. While the figures might not sound that inspiring in comparison with other firms such as Apple or Samsung, Sony clocked $17.9 Billion in income and $1.8 Billion of earnings in the latest quarter that concluded in June.
