Days after major images and specifications of Meizu 16 Pro and 16 were leaked online on news websites, another huge leak has emerged about the soon-to-be rolled out Chinese handset. The newest bunch of data comes from Jack Wong, founder of Meizu.
The CEO verified on the online forum of Meizu that the upcoming Meizu 16 will sport a bigger screen-to-body ratio in comparison to iPhone X and Xiaomi Mi8. This recommends that Meizu 16 will have slimmer bezels with the display covering over 85% of the front.
The other revelations that came from the founder of the company was that Meizu 16 will sport a fingerprint sensor in the display. Till now, only few handsets such as Vivo Nex, Vivo X21, and Mi 8 Explorer Edition have this smart function. In addition to this, the feature might additional push the cost of Meizu 16.
For those who are not aware, the Chinese handset company is getting ready up to roll out its Meizu 16 series this year in August in China. The new series comprises the larger Meizu 16 Pro and the smaller Meizu 16.
Meizu 16 will sport a 5.6-inch screen with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The handset will be fueled by Snapdragon Qualcomm 845 chipset and will operate on Flyme 7.5 supported by Android Oreo. It will be powered by a battery worth 3080mAh with 24-charging support.
The handset will have 8 GB and 6 GB RAM alternatives along with 128 GB and 64 GB internal memory. On the camera end, it will feature a dual-lens setup for camera at the back with 12 MP secondary and primary sensors. For selfies, the handset is anticipated to show a 20 MP front camera fueled by AI (Artificial Intelligence).
As far as the question remains of cost, the 6 GB RAM version will have a price tag of Rs 31,686 or CNY 2,999. The bigger RAM version will have a price tag of Rs 34,856 or CNY 3,299.
